Peace and understanding on this Memorial Day weekend |

In the midst of our own personal troubles, life can seem quite peaceful for others. Especially growing up, it was tempting to be envious of others who seemed to have it easy. But my mother often reminded me if everyone were told put their problems in a pile and pick out the ones they wanted, everyone would walk away with the problems they had in the first place. Not to diminish the issues we face in our lives, but to remind us that we are all dealing with something. And as for me, my own problems can pale in comparison to what others are going through today or have sacrificed for us in the past. Despite trouble and sacrifice in our own lives or the lives of others, may everyone find peace as we commemorate this Memorial Day weekend. – By Catherine Mueller | ||||||||||||||||
