A time to celebrate |

Happy National Puppy Day! Who wouldn't want to celebrate that? Although Libbie, our German Shorthair Pointer, is far from being a puppy, we still like to treat her like one. Libbie really doesn't mind being treated like a puppy – some of the time, that is. She also wants her freedom to run, explore, smell, and play. I suspect that is the way it is with most of us – we want to get out and experience what it's like to be in the world, but it's also nice to come back home and be around people who will handle us with care. It's an important balance, and one I'm reminded of keeping as many college students (including my daughter) are nearing graduation. Celebrate, give a hug, and handle with care.
