It's a critical step for success.

For many students, completion of the FAFSA makes the pursuit of their college and career dreams possible. And for many colleges, the FAFSA makes it possible for students from all economic backgrounds to enroll and graduate successfully from their institution.

The delayed release of the 2024-25 FAFSA (now expected by December 31) could impact this critical step. Perhaps some students and families aren’t aware of the delay or the reason for it. The December 31 FAFSA release, which is beyond what is considered the typical fall college planning season, may have also caused some students to disengage.

To create awareness about the 2024-25 FAFSA, the National College Attainment Network (NCAN) in partnership with NASFAA and Third Way have created a digital social media toolkit, which can be used to share information about the new FAFSA.
