The Department of Education is among the federal offices closed on Monday, February 19 in observance of Washington's Birthday, also known as the President's Day federal holiday.

In addition, the Department's Title IV processors and contact centers will be closed on for the holiday. The Department reminds colleges and universities of the following holiday closings:

  • The Central Processing System (CPS) will accept data on Monday, February 19, but will not process data or send Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) until Tuesday, February 20.
  • The Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System will accept and process data from schools and send back responses/acknowledgments on Monday, February 19, but schools will not be able to receive any federal funds on that day. Requests for changes in funding levels and for funds will not be processed until Tuesday, February 20.

All Federal Student Aid websites will remain operational on the holiday.

For more information see the February 12 Electronic Announcement.

Mapping Your Future offices also will be closed on Monday, but the website will remain operational.
